Standstill is regression – this is the motto of Weber Tec.
The company based in Hamburg, Germany, specialises in the repair of escalator steps. It not only offers a reliable repair service, but also develops and manufactures functional products and solutions for remedial maintenance of escalator steps on the German and international market. To ensure that the local staff is also well-prepared for the failure of escalators, Weber Tec’s Mike and Wolfgang Weber trained four technicians of the Deutsche Bahn railway company in Berlin in the handling of the company’s device Filler 2.
On the first day of the training, the four technicians were introduced to Weber Tec’s EsCare. A detailed educational film and practices in a workshop prepared the technicians for the use of the method. With EsCare, faulty escalator steps can quickly be repaired on site without removal or long downtimes. The Filler 2 is a convenient choice for the repair of escalator steps due to its unobtrusive appearance.
The second day of training took the four technicians to the local train station Bellevue where they were able to apply the methods previously learned in practice. Deutsche Bahn North East has signed a four years licence contract with Weber Tec and thus received the training so that their staff can take care of the repair of escalator steps in their train stations themselves. The company continues its partnership with the reliable service provider in the repair of escalator steps in its train stations so that they do not fall by the wayside due to downtime.
